GetinTime is designed with a simple principle: your data belongs to you, and it never leaves your device.
GetinTime does not collect, store, or transmit any personal data to external servers. The app has no backend, no user accounts, and no analytics or tracking of any kind.
All data you enter into the app — including destinations, trips, stops, contact names, and phone numbers — is stored exclusively on your iPhone using Apple's on-device frameworks (SwiftData / Core Data). This data is included in your iCloud Backup if you have iCloud Backup enabled, which is managed entirely by Apple.
GetinTime requests access to your device's location to calculate departure times and display your position on the map. Your location is used only within the app and is never sent to any server operated by GetinTime. Route calculations are performed using Apple's MapKit and Apple Maps infrastructure.
When you choose to notify contacts on departure, GetinTime uses the system contact picker (provided by Apple) to let you select a contact. The app receives only the name and phone number of the contact you explicitly select. This information is stored on-device as part of the trip and is used solely to pre-fill the native SMS compose sheet.
GetinTime never reads your entire contacts list and never transmits contact data anywhere.
Pro users can enable Calendar Integration. GetinTime reads calendar events only to identify driving-related events and suggest them in your Today view. Calendar data is never sent off-device.
GetinTime may send local push notifications (e.g., "Time to leave!") on your device. These are generated entirely on-device and do not involve any server communication.
In-app purchases are handled entirely by Apple through StoreKit. GetinTime does not process or store payment information.
GetinTime does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting SDKs. The only external services involved are Apple's own frameworks (MapKit, StoreKit, UserNotifications, and iCloud Backup).
GetinTime does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under the age of 13.
If we make changes to this privacy policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Significant changes will be noted in the App Store release notes.
